According to Danny Sullivan from Google, this new update is an upgrade on the existing algorithms and has much to offer to the digital audience. With a proper name and structure, this core update differentiates itself from its previous counterparts.

Google, to distinguish between its different updates, follows a naming a balanced naming protocol. For example, the original name for Panda Update was Farmer Updatebut Google changed its name as the audience does not welcome the term “Farmer update.”

In fact, the word Panda belongs to the surname of the lead engineer responsible for designing this update.
