Google EMD (Exact Match Domain) Update

The Relevance of Google EMD Update

Google introduced a filtered EMD (Exact Match Domain) update in September 2012. The aim of this update was to prevent low-quality landing pages to predominate Google search engine ranks only because their domain names incorporated the terms which the digital users enquired about.

This update allows such websites to start afresh and generate quality criteria and customer leads to rank high. It plans to catch sites with poor content and push them down the search results. It also insightfully looks for decent websites which previously ranked below their merit and uplifts them with proper care.
