Panda Algorithm

The Panda algorithm was launched by Google in early 2011, filtering out websites with low quality, thin content. This was the beginning of several quality controls. Panda purged search results pages of low quality, spammy content, allowing higher quality websites to rise to the top.

Google targeted content farms as one of Panda’s primary targets. Low-quality content would be produced on these sites and they would tend to rank simply based on volume. The goal of Google is always to provide high-quality results for a great user experience, so this concerned Google a lot. Content spammers received two black eyes as a result of Google’s Panda algorithm and content farms were effectively eliminated.

What is the working of Panda?
Search engines have a difficult time recognizing shallow content and low-quality sites because the web is so vast and varied. In an interview with Wired magazine, Director of Search at Google, Amit Singhal said they needed to be as scientific and mathematical as possible in order to solve this complex problem.

Google researchers then developed a number of detailed questions (some of which are listed here) for testers to review a number of domain names. The Google team developed a set of ranking signals from these questions and reviews that defined what content was low quality.

In order to determine a site’s value, Google is constantly adjusting and improving its signals. By doing so, Google can remain on top of what content is considered valid and invalid, and continuously improve user experience.
Panda Prevention
Google Panda can negatively impact your site in many ways, but you can prevent it. By producing a high-quality, unique piece of content, you can reliably and effectively improve SEO.

Embrace the Google algorithm preferences and you will have a successful campaign. A number of considerations must be kept in mind, from content strategies to technical website construction:

Information, solutions, or services must be readily available on the page. A website that fails to fulfill the criteria is either lacking in content, design, or onpage features. By doing this, users will leave the site, resulting in low visibility, high bounce rates, and poor user experiences.

Links to external sites should be strong on a domain.
You can use sources to prove to search engines that your information is reliable by referencing your sources. Google understands you are a responsible content curator if you strive to provide accurate information to your users. You are then rewarded with a higher search ranking. Links can also be used to make it easier for search engines to identify your site as related to the referenced quality, topic-related sites.

Backlinks are crucial.
An important part of any SEO strategy is assembling a strong backlink portfolio (a collection of reputable sites that link to yours). Panda plays a vital role in this, favoring sources that link to the linked-to page, from sites that mention it favorably. Having positive backlinks, which are relevant to your field, shows that you are regarded as a resource.

Panda read your reviews.
If you have a product or service that can be evaluated by independent sources, give users the chance to do so on your site. Your user experience and quality of service will be improved if you provide Google with 5-star ratings in a format they can understand.
